NASCAR teams stay local this weekend for the first of two consecutive home games at Charlotte Motor Speedway, beginning with Saturday’s MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE (8:00 PM ET on FS1), preceded by FS1’s live telecast of the MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR ALL-STAR OPEN (6:00 PM ET). The network sets the tone for the weekend on Friday, May 17, with live coverage of the NASCAR GANDER OUTDOORS TRUCK SERIES race at 8:30 PM ET.
FOX NASCAR’s on-air lineup boasts a wealth of MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE success totaling nine victories in the annual, winner-take-all exhibition race. Three-time champ and Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip holds the distinction of inaugural winner (1985), led by crew chief and fellow FOX NASCAR analyst Jeff Hammond. Four-time champ and Hall of Fame driver Jeff Gordon owns a trio of All-Star trophies (1995, 1997 and 2001). Crew chief Larry McReynolds guided Davey Allison to consecutive wins in 1991 and 1992.
