“If this what we can do with a truck that handles like this, then I’m scared to see how we’ll do with a truck that handles good. We struggled all day today – from second practice on. The finish surprised me.” – Ben Rhodes
“It was nice to lead some laps early. We just fought tight the last half of race. Could never get the truck freed up. We had good short run speed at the beginning and then terrible the last half of the race. Ready to go on to Charlotte.” –Matt Crafton
“Overall we had a good Protect the Harvest Ford F-150 tonight at Kansas. We didn’t qualify very well, but we drove up to the front really early on. Myself, Jeff Hensley, everyone on this 98 team felt like we had a good race truck, and we proved that tonight. We had great pit stops, and great restarts, all night. We got the lead early, and could hold them off. Then, after that green flag stint, I felt like the 24 was just a little bit better than us, and I was trying to conserve tires. We felt like the 52 was gonna be short on fuel, so I was just trying to save our tires, to make a run there at the end. Unfortunately, the 24 got loose underneath us, and kinda ruined both of our nights. These guys did a good job getting the truck put back together, and we were able to salvage a seventh-place finish. I’m thankful for Protect the Harvest, Champion Power Equipment, Duke and Rhonda Thorson, Mike Curb, and everyone that allows us to do this each week. I felt like we let one slip away from us tonight. Just really disappointed that we couldn’t bring them home a win tonight, but we’re definitely showing them we’re capable.” -Grant Enfinger
