Cole Custer and Austin Cindric Finish 1-2 at Richmond

COLE CUSTER, No. 00 Haas Automation Ford Mustang (Finished 1st) — THAT LAST RESTART, YOU WERE ABLE TO GET AROUND AUSTIN CINDRIC AND DRIVE TO THE WIN: “I tried something different on that last restart and it didn’t work out. It just stacked everybody up so much and I got hit in the back and it spun the tires. We just had a great car. When I got the restarts right it was good. I don’t know. It is a great race for us. Our first short track win and second win of the year. It means a ton.”

TAKE US THROUGH THE RESTART AFTER STAGE ONE WHEN YOU STARTED SEVENTH AND DROVE YOUR WAY THROUGH THE FIELD: “Yeah, that was a pretty crazy one. I think the craziest thing was I went off of two and put all four tires on the apron trying to get past Ross and the 4 car. You had to be aggressive. Whoever was going to get to the front first was going to have a real advantage so you had to be aggressive.”

TAKE US THROUGH THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN YOU AND MIKE WITH THE RAIN COMING AND THE PIT STRATEGY: “They kept saying the rain was 15 or 20 laps away and it never came. They made us work for it but it means a lot that we actually did finish the race. It is just huge for our team to get this second win and inching toward being the team to beat.”

$100,000 WINNER IN THE DASH FOR CASH TONIGHT, WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH IT? “I have no idea. I just bought a house so I might put it towards that a little bit. I have no idea. We will find out.”

AUSTIN CINDRIC, No. 22 LTi Printing Ford Mustang (Finished 2nd)

“It is great to get LTi Printing a great finish here at Richmond and be able to capitalize on what was a better short run car tonight. I have kind of had all spectrums all three of my races here. We will come back here in the playoffs for an important race in the first round with a good notebook. Congrats to Cole and those guys. I tried my best on that restart to hold him off but they were obviously the class of the field. Him and the 7. We had some fun and got some points and now we will move on to Talladega for the MoneyLion 300. That will be a big one for me. I would love to win that race and the Dash for Cash at Talladega.”

CHASE BRISCOE, No. 98 Nutri Chomps Ford Mustang (Finished 8th)

“I feel like this is our worst overall race of the year. We were really good at the beginning which is the opposite of how we usually are. Once the sun went down we just got really loose and didn’t have any forward drive. I am not sure what happened but overall to salvage a top-10 for our Nutri Chomps Ford is pretty good and we will go on to Talladega where anything can happen and see if we can’t end up in victory lane.”
