Joe Gibbs Racing Adds SiriusXM to No. 19 Team’s Sponsor Lineup

Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that SiriusXM will serve as the primary sponsor of Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 19 Toyota Camry for the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races at Martinsville Speedway (March 24) and Dover International Speedway (May 5).

“To have a company like SiriusXM come on board is incredible for our race team,” said Truex. “I’ve been fortunate to partner with great companies that I can really connect to because I’m also a customer of those companies and use them on a daily basis. SiriusXM is no different. I have SiriusXM radio in all of my Toyota street cars and I love listening, especially to The Highway and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, so it’s absolutely a product that I can get behind and believe in. Plus, the SiriusXM cars and trucks over the years have always had great paint schemes. I look forward to continuing that tradition with our No. 19 Camry at Martinsville and Dover.”

SiriusXM is no stranger to Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota Racing as a whole. The SiriusXM colors have been featured on JGR Camrys in each of the past two seasons. This will be SiriusXM’s first foray into sponsoring the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion.

”We are very proud of our long term relationship with Toyota and feel honored to continue our sponsorship with Joe Gibbs Racing.  Martin is an elite performer at the top of his sport and we are thrilled to be on board his car as he competes for another championship,” said Christopher Lam, SiriusXM’s Senior Vice President & GM of Automotive Partnerships, who oversees SiriusXM’s relationship with Toyota.  “We provide fans with the best possible NASCAR coverage every week on our SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel, where Martin has been a guest many times, and we’re excited for those fans to see our paint scheme on the track this week at Martinsville and at Dover in May.”

Earlier this year, SiriusXM announced a landmark agreement with Toyota that will expand the installation of SiriusXM to all Toyota models and trims sold in the Continental U.S.  The expansion is expected to start with 2020 model year vehicles produced in the Fall of 2019.  The agreement will result in SiriusXM becoming a standard feature as Toyota’s next generation head units are rolled out to Toyota cars, trucks and SUVs.  The agreement also extends the long-term relationship between the two companies into 2028.
