Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has promoted Jackie Franzil to the position of Director, Communications and Content. Franzil was recently recognized by NASCAR as the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series PR Representative of the Year.
Franzil, a Dearborn Heights, Michigan-native, joined RCR in March 2010 as the public relations representative for Austin Dillon’s 2010 campaign in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Her role as the communications representative for Dillon has included notable events such as the driver’s Gander Outdoors Truck Series and Xfinity Series championships, and his trips to Victory Lane at the 2017 Coca-Cola 600 and 2018 DAYTONA 500.
Franzil has played a key part in multiple media campaigns and events for RCR throughout her tenure, including the return of the No. 3 to NASCAR’s premier series, starting with the 2014 season. With the ever-evolving media landscape, Franzil’s new role will include additional focus on content creation for RCR’s digital and social media platforms.
Prior to her role at RCR, Franzil spent six years handling all public relations, writing and crisis communications responsibilities for the ARCA Menards Series. She grew up in the sport, attending her first race when she was six months old and raced at her local short track in Michigan during her teenage years and early twenties.
Franzil will continue to serve as the communications lead for Dillon and the No. 3 program in her new role.
