Six pairs of Top Fuel dragsters raced down the track on Sunday morning at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona before persistent rain showers caused the NHRA to suspend racing for the day.
Eliminations for the season-opening NHRA Winternationals will resume tomorrow, Monday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. PT, beginning with the final pair of Top Fuel dragsters before continuing into round one of Funny Car eliminations.
Racing will resume with the following matchups:
Funny Car round one:
Jack Beckman vs. Phil Burkhart Jr.
Ron Capps vs. Gary Densham
Matt Hagan vs. John Force
Tommy Johnson Jr. vs. Tim Wilkerson
Top Fuel round two:
Leah Pritchett vs. Terry McMillen
