Martinsville Speedway Removes Age Restriction on SkyDeck

Martinsville Speedway

Martinsville Speedway will open its SkyDeck to guests of all ages, starting with the STP 500.

When it debuted last fall, the SkyDeck was restricted to patrons 18-and-older.

“After each race, we survey the ticket holders to find out what areas we are doing well in and more importantly, where we can improve the guest experience,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “Almost all of the feedback from people who watched the race from the SkyDeck was positive. However, we did have a number of folks ask about admitting children. After talking it over as a staff, we felt that everyone should get to enjoy the unparalleled experience, including kids.”

The SkyDeck is an all-inclusive experience that offers a panoramic view of Martinsville Speedway from Turns 1 and 2. It features a rotating buffet, drink tickets, and lounge seating with multiple televisions to view the race.

Admission to the SkyDeck is $375 and also includes a pre-race infield pass for Sunday that grants access to the pits and the frontstretch from 10:30 a.m. until the end of driver introductions. Youth 17-and-under will receive a Pre Race Experience pass for Sunday morning.

In addition to access to the SkyDeck, the purchase price includes a general admission ticket to the 250 lap NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race and a reserved ticket in the Old Dominion Tower for the STP  500.

SkyDeck passes are non-transferable.

The STP 500 weekend is March 22-24.

The weekend starts with a practice day for the Truck Series on Friday, followed by a Truck Series Autograph session and the Hauler Parade.

On Saturday, the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is in action with a 250 lap race. Following the race, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will qualify for Sunday’s STP 500.

Sunday, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is in action with the running of the STP 500. The race is the first short-track race of the season and the first race back on the East Coast after the Series’ “West Coast Swing.”

Advance ticket prices for the STP 500 begin at $47 with youth tickets for fans 17-and-under just $25 regardless of location. Youth 17-and-under are admitted free to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series 250 lap race on Saturday. Friday’s practice day is free to everyone.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at www.martinsvillespeedway.com.
