VETMotorsports to Celebrate Fifth Birthday on Saturday, August 25.

VETMotorsports, an award-winning, non-clinical outreach program that honors and empowers active military, veterans with service-connected injuries and their caregivers through active participation in motorsports, invites the racing community to help celebrate five years of service with a family-friendly birthday bash on Saturday, August 25 at Four String Brewing Co.

The event, which will be held from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Four String’s 660 N. Hague Avenue Columbus, Ohio location.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite at https://5yearanniversaryfundraiser.eventbrite.com/ or at the door. All proceeds from the event will go to support the non-profit’s veteran-centered mission.

VETMotorsports was created in 2013 to provide inspiration and motivation to veterans by making them part of a new team and giving them a new mission. The program recruits participants, embeds them with professional racing teams or puts them behind the wheel, and covers all expenses for them a caregiver to take part in the experience.

By placing veterans in hands-on, high-stress, team environments that mimic active duty, the organization gives them direction, empowerment and challenges that help them focus on ability and moving forward rather than disability and the past.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have earned the trust of nearly 200 veterans over our first five years and gotten them engaged in dozens of challenging, hands-on motorsports experiences,” said VETMotorsports Founder and CEO Pete Cline. “It’s going to be fun to celebrate that success, as well as the support we’ve received form organizations like the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), the SCCA Foundation, MotoAmerica, the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) and Triumph Motorcycles, with our supporters and volunteers at the Four String event.”
