Dirt Late Model racers from across the United States, Canada and Australia are filing into the Eldora Speedway’s infield in anticipation of the 24th running the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend.
Scott Bloomquist, is the defending winner, the Mooresburg, Tennessee driver has won the event on seven occasions.
The action kicks off tonight when the expected field of 80-plus superstars competes in qualifying time trials and is then staggered into two complete Heat Race, B-Feature and $5,000-to-win “Twin 25” Feature Race programs.
The stakes are even larger on Friday night when the process is repeated again, prize money bumped up throughout the fields and each feature pays $10,000-to-win.
All the while, the racers will be charging each and every time they are on the track because Eldora’s Every Lap Matters™ point system is in effect tonight and Friday. Total points after Friday night seed the Heat Races for Saturday night’s $100,000-to-win finale.
