Coming off of a career best finish of sixth two weeks ago at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Quin Houff will return to the No. 98 BeatinCancerWithDuke.org Chevrolet at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) with Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM) in the ZOMONGO 200. This will mark Houff’s first time racing at the 2.0-mile track located in Brooklyn, Michigan.
“Michigan is going to be a whole new challenge and I’m excited to go tackle the fast-paced two-mile track,” Houff stated. “I know the MMM guys will prepare a fast car and get me up to speed quickly. “It felt great to get a solid top-10 finish under my belt and leave Charlotte with momentum heading into Michigan. Charlotte kind of knocked the rust off for me being out of the car since February. I am very excited to hit the ground running even better in Michigan and get the finish that MMM deserves.”
Last week Quin tested at the Pocono Raceway with MMM in preparation for his first start at the “Tricky Triangle” at the end of the month when ARCA returns for its second race of the season at the 2.5-mile track.
“Testing at Pocono last week really helped me get acclimated with the track. I have a better understanding of what to expect when we race there at the end of the month.”
After the race at Charlotte, Houff honored Veterans during Memorial Day at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds with the Victory Weekend organization.
Chassis Information: Houff will be back behind chassis No. 588 for MMM at MIS. Houff raced the chassis to a sixth-place finish last month at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The chassis has 27 starts since 2014, earning one win (Winchester 2015), eight top-five finishes and 16 top-10 finishes.
The ZOMONGO 200 at the Michigan International Speedway will air live on MAV TV Friday, June 8th beginning at 5:30 pm ET. Arcaracing.com will have live timing and scoring for all on-track activities throughout the day.
