Corey LaJoie, driver of the No. 72 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, will compete in the Monster Energy Open on Saturday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway for a chance to advance to the Monster Energy All-Star Race.
Drivers not already locked into the All-Star will vie for an entry by participating in the three-stage Open which precedes the All-Star event. Each stage winner, along with the Monster Energy All-Star Fan Vote, will secure a starting position in the Monster Energy All-Star Race and contend for the coveted $1 million payout.
LaJoie is one of 21 drivers eligible for the Monster Energy All-Star Fan Vote. Winning the fan vote would automatically secure LaJoie a starting position in the Monster Energy All-Star lineup. Fans can vote online at www.NASCAR.com/FanVote until 11:59 p.m. EDT Friday.
Qualifying for the Open will begin Friday at 6:05 p.m. ET with two rounds to set the field.
