Also, as part of this partnership, J.P. Mascaro & Sons will serve as at the ‘Official Waste Services and Recycling Provider of Pocono Raceway.’
“Being a family business ourselves, we welcome the opportunity to partner with J. P. Mascaro & Sons, a third generation family-owned and operated business that is an industry leader in waste service and recycling solutions,” said Pocono Raceway’s President, Ben May. “This business relationship and Mascaro’s extensive industry experience in Pennsylvania will enhance the recycling and sustainability efforts of ‘Pocono Green’ as our Raceway strives to reach its waste diversion-recycling goal of 75% by 2019. Pocono Raceway and J. P. Mascaro & Sons have similar business philosophies and similar recycling and sustainability commitments. Those similarities will assist both the Raceway and Mascaro in achieving their respective business goals.”
J. P. Mascaro & Sons, founded and headquartered in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania by Joseph P. Mascaro, Sr., does business primarily in Pennsylvania and the mid-Atlantic region. It is one of the largest privately-owned waste service companies in the country. Today, the family company is successfully operated by Joe Sr.’s four sons and a third generation of qualified and experienced Mascaro men and women who will continue the company’s success in the 21st Century.
In Pennsylvania, Mascaro owns and operates seven waste collection and recycling divisions, two DEP-permitted landfills and three transfer stations, as well as the largest composting facility in Pennsylvania, and three recycling facilities, including a new 85,000 square foot fully-automated single stream recycling facility. With this infrastructure, Mascaro is a major provider of waste and recycling services for municipalities, businesses, industries and educational institutions in Pennsylvania.
Speaking to the Raceway-Mascaro business partnership, Mascaro company President, Pat Mascaro, said, “It took our company only a few minutes to conclude that we should partner with Pocono Raceway and its ‘Pocono Green’ sustainability and recycling efforts. Mascaro’s commitment to sustainability and recycling matches theirs, and as the Raceway’s exclusive waste service and recycling provider for the next four years, I am confident that the Pocono Green program will enjoy continued success. Pocono Raceway is in the motorsports business and Mascaro is in the waste service and recycling business and although these two businesses are dissimilar, our respective business philosophies, as family owned and operated companies, are very similar, and our respective commitment to sustainability and recycling make us perfect business partners.”
Pocono Raceway will host its third annual NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Tickets to the Pocono Green 250 Recycled by J. P.
