Route 66 Raceway announced today that they will cap off the 13-stop Red Carpet Corridor Festival on Saturday, May 5 with a special Race Your Ride Event presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Route 66 Raceway will offer fans a variety of experiences throughout the day, including facility tours, photo-ops and the opportunity to take a pass down the iconic racetrack. Route 66 Raceway, the First True Stadium of Drag Racing, will give fans the bucket-list chance to take their own vehicle down the same track as the stars of the NHRA.
Race Your Ride presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts gives anyone the opportunity to safely see how fast they can race down the dragstrip. Any driver in a street legal vehicle of any experience level can make a pass during this Race Your Ride event. All cars must undergo an on-site safety inspection before taking to the track. Gate admission is $15 and making a pass down the track is an additional $25.
“Pair a nostalgic Route 66 self-guided road trip with the ability to Race Your Ride or tour the Route 66 Raceway and you’ve created an epic adventure,” said Debyjo Ericksen, Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor Festival Chairman. “The Red Carpet Corridor is excited to welcome the Route 66 Raceway to this year’s Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor events on May 5, 2018.”
The 13 communities taking part in the Red Carpet Corridor festival invite everyone to experience the good life down Route 66. Each community will produce its own unique events. From full-blown festival, to antique, craft and art sales, car and motorcycle shows and live entertainment, everyone is sure to discover something unique.
