Daniel Suárez – No. 19 ARRIS Toyota Camry Preview – Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway

No. 19 ARRIS Toyota Camry News and Notes

  • AT AUTO CLUB: Daniel Suárez turned in an impressive performance during his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) start at Auto Club Speedway last spring. The Monterrey, Mexico native started 10th and finished seventh in the 400-mile race, giving him his second consecutive top-10 finish early in his rookie season.
  • PHOENIX RECAP: Suárez and his No. 19 ARRIS team overcame a miscue on their opening pit stop to rally for an eighth-place finish last Sunday at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Ariz. The result was Suárez’s first top-10 effort of the 2018 MENCS campaign. It came on a day that saw all four Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) Toyota Camrys finish inside the top nine.
  • MORE RUCKUS: Suárez’s No. 19 ARRIS Toyota Camry will feature the Ruckus Wireless colors for the second consecutive week. Ruckus, a new ARRIS company, is a leader in wired and wireless network technology providing the best business-class Wi-Fi everywhere, including hospitality, education, government, service providers, multi-dwelling/tenant units, sports/entertainment venues, and transportation centers. Suárez is slated to drive the Ruckus paint scheme in seven races this season.
  • JGR AT AUTO CLUB: In 77 combined MENCS starts at Auto Club Speedway, JGR owns a pair of victories. Kyle Busch earned both triumphs for the team in back-to-back years – 2013 and 2014. The organization has also tallied 17 top-five finishes to go along with 31 top-10s and five poles.
  • TUNE IN: This weekend’s MENCS race at Auto Club Speedway can be seen live on FOX Sunday, March 18 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

On racing at Auto Club Speedway…

  • “Fontana is one of those places that is extremely different from everywhere else we race. It’s a very big, wide track with not a lot of grip and just a few laps on tires make a huge difference with the fall off. Overall, it’s a lot of fun racing there. I had a solid top-10 finish last year and I’m really looking forward to having another strong run this weekend.”
