Rookie driver Vinnie Miller, driving the No. 01 JAS Expedited Trucking Chevrolet Camaro, brought home an impressive 24th place finish in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race, his first career start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Miller qualified 37th for the Boyd Gaming 300, and was quickly able to gain positions. He raced in the top 25 for the majority of the race, but was held back by malfunctioning pit guns.
“I thought the NASCAR Xfinity race went really well,” said Miller. “I learned a lot, and I’m happy with the 24th place finish for the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team. My crew chief, Bryan (Berry), really brought a great car for us in Las Vegas. Despite having two pit guns breaking, we were able to rebound to 24th. I can’t wait to be back there in the fall. Thank you again to JAS Expedited Trucking and Master Mfg., Inc for all the support.”
Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the DC Solar 200 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, A.Z., on March 10th, 2018.
