NHRA Funny Car champion Robert Hight added the No.1 decal to his Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro SS today between test runs during the NHRA Spring Training at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. The two-time Funny Car champion designed his two-time champion No. 1 with a red, white and blue patriotic feel reminiscent of motorsports icon Evel Knievel.
“Adding this No. 1 is big but it is also a target on our backs,” said Hight as he applied the decal in his pits at the end of day two of NHRA Spring Training. “We worked really hard to get this No. 1 and my goal and everyone’s goal on this Auto Club Chevrolet team is to start the season strong and lead the points the whole season. We have a great team of three Funny Cars here at John Force Racing and I am ready to get the season started.”
Hight’s Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro will be looking for its fourth career win at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in just over a week in Pomona, Calif. The entire John Force Racing team will continue to test through Saturday at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park outside of Phoenix, Arizona.
