For the second consecutive week, Rick Ware Racing (RWR) will continue to use their Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) team to aid those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond Raceway.
For this weekend’s regular season finale, RWR welcomes the support of BBMC Mortgage who has agreed pledge additional funds towards the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Motorsports veteran B.J. McLeod will drive the team’s No. 51 Chevrolet in Saturday night’s race.
BBMC Mortgage is proud to support the No. 51 Texas Strong Chevrolet in an effort to bring further awareness and attentiveness to the need for additional relief funds due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. Moreover, BBMC Mortgage has added Team Rubicon’s Harvey Relief efforts to its Patriot’s Charity initiative lineup.
For every loan BBMC Mortgage closes, the company will donate $150 to one of their four veteran service organizations chosen by the customer through their Patriot’s Charity initiative. In an effort to get Houston and the Hurricane Harvey-afflicted areas back to Texas Strong conditions, all funds directed to Team Rubicon will go to their Harvey relief efforts.
“Very excited to have BBMC Mortgage on board our No. 51 Texas Strong Chevrolet this weekend at Richmond,” said RWR team principal Rick Ware. “We are continuing in our efforts to raise money and awareness for the catastrophic flooding in Texas. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the people in the path of Hurricane Irma.”
McLeod, a native of Wauchula, Fla. is keeping his thoughts and prayers with his family and friends in the path of Hurricane Irma which is expected to slam the Sunshine State this weekend.
“I’m very proud to be driving a car that is dedicated to helping those in need during one of the most difficult times of their lives,” said McLeod who will make his sixth career Cup start at Richmond. “While we’re here racing at Richmond, I’m still thinking about all those effected in Texas, while on a personal level, my heart is back at home in Florida and hoping for the best as everyone prepares for the arrival of Hurricane Irma.”
BUBBA burger® will serve as a primary co-sponsor for Saturday night’s race.
